POLICE have been granted a dispersal order to tackle anti-social behaviour in Knowle West.

Police and the Safer Bristol group obtained the order after complaints about street drinking and anti-social behaviour.

The order will run from today through to September 3 and covers "hot spot" areas around The Mede Community Centre and Marshall Walk.

Both areas have similar problems with young people causing criminal damage and nuisance, as well as a group of street drinkers and drug users.
