With reference to the article "West police chief risks jail term" Post, May 18. Full marks to Chief Constable Colin Port for his refusal to hand over this child pornography to a High Court order.

The protection of children is paramount. When these convicted predatory paedophiles are sentenced, the public are bewildered by the lenient sentence handed down by some of these judges.
