Police appeal after distraction burglary in Downend
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a distraction burglary in Downend.
The incident occurred on Saturday, June 9 at around 1pm in Westbourne Road.

A man attended the home address of a 69-year-old man and offered to tidy up his garden for money. He had a brown bulldog with him.
He asked to come in and look at the garden while the dog was left outside.

Afterwards he said he would be back to carry out the work a few days later.
The victim paid him the money and the man left. He later realised that cash and building society pass books had been stolen from his bedroom.
This suspect is described by the victim as being: "White, medium build, about 6ft tall and called himself Tony."
