Plush won with a bit up his sleeve at Wolverhampton on Friday and it is interesting he is turned out again quickly for the Weatherbys All Weather "Hands & Heels" Apprentice Series Handicap back at Dunstall Park.

Tom Dascombe's five-year-old is enjoying a lucrative end to the campaign having now scored three times over this course and distance since the start of November.

He was slightly disappointing on his penultimate start at Lingfield but he seems to be a different proposition altogether at this venue and running under a 6lb penalty for his latest triumph, it may be that he is still ahead of the assessor.

Desert Bump showed enough on her Great Leighs debut to suggest she is capable of getting off the mark in the KDS Solutions Christmas Party Maiden Auction Stakes.

The daughter of Medicean seemed a little shell shocked in the early stages of her racecourse introduction but certainly got the hang of things late on, eventually finishing just over two lengths adrift of the winner.

That run suggested she may well appreciate further than this minimum trip in time but this is not the hottest of contests and she will not have to be a world-beater to come home in front.

Brackenmoss scooted home in a Hexham bumper last month and could well prove a mare to follow in the north if she takes to the jumping game.

The five-year-old won two of her four outings in National Hunt Flat events and was even considered good enough by trainer Keith Reveley to line up in a Listed event at Sandown back in March.

Her 12-length victory in heavy ground last time bodes well given the likely testing conditions at Ayr and it would be no surprise to see her take the Telephone Betting Call 0800 461 061 Mare's Novices' Hurdle.

Malcolm Jefferson's Moscow Catch showed a good deal of ability in bumpers and makes his debut over timber in the Daily Record Novices' Hurdle.

He could have been found an easier introduction as a number of his rivals are already winners but that can play into his hands as they all carry a penalty.

Noel Chance's Aux Le Bahnn was denied a run at Lingfield on Saturday when that meeting was washed out but he should not have to wait long for compensation.

He runs in the Clockmakers "National HUnt" Novices' Hurdle at Plumpton and after a victory in handicap company last time should take all the beating.

Chance has always regarded him very highly and he looked a differnet animal at Ascot last time and it will take a smart one to stop him.
