Plenty of fun in the sunshine
HUNDREDS of people enjoyed fun in the sunshine on Saturday at the Keynsham Youth Festival.
Those attending the annual event were treated to theatrical performers, stunt bike riders, footballers, African drummers, a marching band and teams of air and army cadets.
The Keynsham Town Council event is organised by young people and supported by B&NES Council along with the Quest Project to record the impact of the 2012 Games.
A highlight of this year's festival was the performance of a theatrical piece written specially for the Olympics and Paralympics, called The Battle of the Winds.

The festival also included a bandstand stage to showcase local musical talent, African drumming workshops and dance workshops.
The parade started at noon and made its way to the Memorial Park where it was officially opened by Bath & North East Somerset chairman Cllr Rob Appleyard.
He said: "It was a really good event and the weather was kind to us as well. Keynsham Town Council did a great job in a time of severe pressures and this is proving to be beneficial."
