Plea for witnesses after girl and woman injured

INVESTIGATIONS are under way into two separate incidents which left a cyclist and a pedestrian injured.

A woman believed to be in her late teens or early 20s suffered head injuries after being knocked down by a car on Monks Park Avenue, near Southmead Hospital, shortly after 3pm yesterday. She was taken to Frenchay Hospital for treatment.

On Tuesday at about 8.30am a teenage girl was knocked off her bike by a rubbish lorry near St Christopher's School in Westbury Park. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital.

Anyone with information on either incident should call the police collision investigation unit on 101.
