Play golf and help good causes
A Hewish-based mobility firm is holding a fundraising golf day to raise cash for good causes.
The Great British Mobility Group is holding the charity golf day at Mendip Springs Golf Club on May 8.
The event is just one of a number of fundraisers being organised by the firm over the next year in an attempt to raise £20,000 for good causes in the local community.
Local organisations which will benefit from the fundraiser include St Andrew's Church in Congresbury, local schools and OAPs.
The event offers a full-day programme for competitors, kicking off with coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, before the 18-hole Stableford competition makes a shotgun start at 9am.
There will be halfway-house drinks, a three-course lunch and a free bar.
Individual and team prizes will be awarded and all entrants will be given a Great British Mobility Group charity golf day polo shirt plus team photographs.
Entry fees are £300 per team of four players and, as the Great British Mobility Group is underwriting all expenses, every penny of the fees will go to the chosen charities.
There will also be a raffle and auction during the afternoon.
