HEAD coach Richie Hargreaves is hoping to hand New Zealand international Martin Lee a debut when the Bristol Pitbulls go to Romford Raiders tonight (5.15pm).

Pitbulls completed the import signing of Lee from Oxford City Stars almost a fortnight ago – but a delay in international clearance meant the forward was forced to miss last weekend’s 5-2 defeat to Invicta Dynamos.

“We’re still waiting to find out if everything has been authorised at the New Zealand end,” said Hargreaves. “I’m hopeful that Martin will be involved in Romford because he’s a very decent addition to our squad.

“We’d like to take him along because you need your best players when you go to somewhere like Romford. He’s been with us for almost two weeks and he just wants to get back out on the ice.”

Pitbulls development team, meanwhile, are in action at Frogmore Street tomorrow (5.55pm) when they host Basingstoke Buffalo.
