Pier-inspired work makes stage debut
A PLAY inspired by the stories behind some of the 10,000 plaques on Clevedon's pier is making its stage debut at The Brewery in Bristol.
86,400 Seconds aka The Pier Project was written by Jo McAnish, of Tickenham, who spent hours on the Grade One listed pier listening to stories of anglers who have bought plaques and learning the basics of sea angling.

After the pier's collapsed on October 17, 1970, supporters were encouraged to buy a plaque as a way of fundraising to maintain and rebuild the structure.
The plaques could contain a message of their choice.
86,400 Seconds aka The Pier Project is on at The Brewery from November 16-27, with curtains up at 8.15pm. For more information or to book tickets call 0117 902 0344.
