Phil's great service to Regional League is recognised by GFA
BRISTOL Regional Sunday League fixture secretary and vice-chairman Phil Dudbridge has received the Gloucestershire Football Association's 21-year long-service award for his contribution to local soccer administration.
He was presented with the accolade by GFA director Roy Schafer during the management committee meeting at the Langton Court Hotel, much to the delight of his wife Nicky, who is the league's treasurer.

Phil enjoyed a successful career as a full-back for Fry's and Roman Glass on Saturdays, Wednesday League club Bristol Dairies and Petersway in the Sunday District League.
His association with the Regional League started in 1996 when Good Intent joined the bottom division and he later became manager at The Fox, before having a lengthy spell as a referee.
