Phil Terry wins three at Carpenters Arms AC event
Phil Terry romped home a triple winner in the Carpenters Arms 2000 AC's three-day event, fished at Mawgan Porth.
The club's match secretary topped the individual league with maximum points, knocked up the heaviest weight and was a member of the top team, along with Martin Woolley and Phil Groves.
On day one, Craig Pinker topped the scoresheet with 113-3-0 of carp from peg five. Terry finished in second place but, more importantly, took top section points with a 99-14-0 catch of carp from peg 36.
He finished overall first on day two, with the heaviest weight of the weekend. He beat PR officer Paul Foxhall into second place by 54-12-0 with a 196-10-0 haul of carp from peg nine.
Phil Groves beat Rob Mills to the first-place honours on day three by 10-3-0 with a 109-9-0 catch from peg six. Terry finished third and added the third set of perfect section points to his score with an 84-3-0 catch of carp.
