Pay-off for a president
In retirement, Ghana's former President, John Kufuor, is to be given six chauffeur-driven cars, two houses and annual overseas holidays, all paid for by the impoverished taxpayers.
It is right that those who have given great public service should be treated well in retirement, but this is going over the top.

Perhaps Britain's Department of International Development will take account of this before they dole out yet more millions of pounds in aid.
