Paulton snatch a point at the end
Winchester City 1 Paulton Rovers 1: Paulton Rovers fought back to earn a point after conceding a debatable penalty against Winchester.
The hosts went ahead from the spot after 75 minutes, James Awiah scoring after the referee ruled that Alex Ball had brought down Adam George.
Paulton were without the injured Cleverley brothers, Ben and Dan, Rob Claridge, Jon French and Dean Pendry, while reserve-team goalkeeper Courtney Redwood was given a start ahead of Kyle Phillips, who could miss next month's Somerset Premier Cup final through suspension.
Paulton went close to taking the lead after nine minutes, when Winchester keeper Chris Tardiff's clearance fell to Ball, whose 35-yard effort was headed off the goal-line by defender Craig Riches.
Another chance for Paulton came in the 20th minute, when a free-kick was headed back across goal by Ricky Hulbert but central defender Ollie Price shot straight at Tardiff.
Hulbert was then just wide with a header 10 minutes before half-time and then after an hour a Jon Beswetherick cross created a chance for Jason Hughes, whose header was just off target.
Paulton scored a deserved 84th-minute equaliser when Price's header was blocked by Tardiff but Mike Trought tucked home the rebound.
