Paulton hit by Andover's second-half fightback
Andover 2 Paulton Rovers 2: Paulton Rovers allowed a two-goal lead to slip away in the second half of this match as Andover fought back to earn a point with two second-half goals.
Kyle Phillips made a good early blocking save from Ben Chambers before Paulton broke away, with Chris Lane bringing a good save from Andover goalkeeper David Hook.
Rovers took the lead in the ninth minute, when Alex Ball's long ball forward found Josh Jeffries, whose left-foot volley gave Hook no chance.
The visitors were denied a penalty when Ben Lacey was brought down as he broke into the box and the assistant referee ruled the incident took place outside the area.
Paulton made it 2-0 on the stroke of half-time, when a Charlie Rich free-kick was headed on by Robbie Claridge for skipper Dan Cleverley to volley home from 12 yards.
Andover pulled a goal back in the 54th minute when Ben Chambers cut in from the right to beat Kyle Phillips, and Chambers was then brought down by Ollie Price, with Lee Burns equalising with the resultant penalty.
