Paulton Rovers 0 Bishops Cleeve 0: Paulton Rovers had to settle for a point after they were held to a goalless draw by Bishop's Cleeve in Division One South & West of the Southern League.

Rovers wasted a good chance of taking the lead in the 21st minute when Ben Lacey sent Matt Cooper clear but the striker failed to hit the target.

Paulton goalkeeper Kyle Phillips made a brilliant save from Elliott Kennedy and then excelled himself again with two fine saves from James Vercesi to keep his side on terms.

Bishop's Cleeve went close to taking the lead early in the second half, when a cross from John Cant led to Vercesi hitting an upright with a header and the ball bouncing back into Phillips' hands.

At the other end, Cooper headed on a long throw to set up fellow striker Robbie Claridge, but his shot was cleared off the line as defence remained on top throughout the match.

Paulton entertain Somerset rivals Bridgwater Town this evening.
