Paulton Rovers 0 Truro City 1: Truro City increased their lead at the top of the Southern League Division One South and West table to eight points after a game that they dominated.

The only surprise was that they failed to win by a more convincing margin.

Paulton goalkeeper Kyle Phillips denied Jake Ash and Scott Walker early on, while Rovers' Rob Cousins almost sliced in an own goal from a cross into the box.

Joe Broad then shot wide for City, while Tom Smith went close with a 25-yard free-kick.

Truro finally got their reward just after the hour mark, although the opener was an own goal by Stuart Tovey, who diverted a cross past Phillips.

Stewart Yetton then had two opportunities to make the game safe, but he wasted them both.

Paulton nearly punished the visitors late on as Ricky Hulbert and Chris Lane went close to snatching an unlikely equaliser.
