Paulton Rovers 3 VTFC 0: Paulton Rovers maintained the form they showed to knock Newport County out of the FA Cup as they thumped high-flying VTFC 3-0 last night.

Alex Ball opened the scoring for Paulton when he headed in from Charlie Rich's 18th-minute corner.

Five minutes before half-time, Rovers made it 2-0 when Saturday's goal hero Neikell Plummer scored with a drive from the edge of the penalty area.

Plummer then made the game safe in the 68th minute when he pounced on Ball's flick-on to smash the ball past visiting goalkeeper Scott O'Rourke.

It was not all plain sailing for Paulton, though, as Kyle Phillips made numerous fine saves throughout the match to maintain his side's advantage.
