Paul Trollope has a first win on the road in his sights for Bristol Rovers
PAUL Trollope wants his Bristol Rovers players to prove they have turned a corner in their season by notching their first away win of the campaign at Colchester United's new stadium tomorrow.
The Pirates went through the whole of September without a victory and the coach admits he is glad to see the back of it. But he believes they have something to build on after recording their first clean sheet for 15 games against Crewe last weekend.

"We look back on September as a bad stretch in terms of results. We can't hide from that and we need to improve it," admitted Trollope.
"We haven't had a win on the road yet, although we have been close on a couple of occasions, but we have a good opportunity to do that this Saturday.
"We feel we have turned the corner and put the brakes on the little slide we had. Now it's time to go further forwards, and that means with a win."
Colchester have yet to win at their £14 million new ground since moving in at the start of the campaign.
"It's always interesting to go to a new stadium and Colchester have had a mixed start," said Trollope.
"Kit Symons, who is a good friend of mine, is in temporary charge there and they had a good result up at Tranmere recently. We had them watched when they lost to Leicester in the week and they will be aiming to bounce back from that.
"We are going there with a positive mentality and you could see last weekend that some of our confidence was coming back in our passing and our movement.
"We need that to continue and to get the ball forward to feet and with quality so that we can continue to score goals."
Rovers have a doubt over central defender Steve Elliott, who suffered a dead leg injury against the Railwaymen. Craig Hinton will be favourite to replace the him if he fails to recover.
Hinton impressed from the bench last weekend, although Byron Anthony will also be hoping for a recall.
"Steve is still a little bit sore and looking doubtful at the moment," said Trollope.

“I think most of us feel that trolls is a "nice guy" and has done wonders for us in the time he has been here. However, defeat at Colchester tomorrow and I think it is time for change. Its a results based business and our run is poor to say the least. All very well saying what a strong squad we have and all that...well lets see it! Time to kick on, we are more than capable of competing and succeeding in this league. Lets start now before its too late, otherwise bring back Holloway. "Nice guys" are not always winners.”
