Patrick Ellsworth, from Bristol, 15, set a new lake record for Hunstrete's Bridge Pool with the capture of a personal best mirror carp weighing 21-4-0.

The fish fell for ledgered sweetcorn offered on a size 12 hook and was returned safely after being weighed and photographed.
