Palace chairman faces probe over comments on Bristol City
Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan is facing disciplinary action following his outspoken attack on Bristol City.
Jordan accused City's players of "cheating" after his team were denied an apparently valid goal during last Saturday's Championship clash between the two sides at Ashton Gate, which the Robins won 1-0.

Jordan was quoted on Sky Sports News as saying: "What troubles me was that the Bristol City players saw what was going on and by saying nothing, that's cheating."
The Football Association have decided Jordan's comments were pre-meditated and have asked him to explain them.
He could face an improper conduct charge and fine if found guilty by an FA disciplinary committee.
But Eagles manager Neil Warnock has escaped censure for his post-match comments regarding referee Rob Shoebridge, who infuriated the London club by disallowing Freddie Sears' 33rd-minute strike.
Warnock gave an impassioned news conference after the match, claiming "I feel hurt and almost cheated out of a result. The body language of the Bristol players and the fans should have told the referee it was a goal. If it had been at the other end of the pitch, there would have been a riot.
"Referees make mistakes, but morally I felt Bristol should have let us score a goal there."
It is understood that Warnock's comments were deemed as being critical of the performance of the referee rather than a personal attack on Shoebridge. The exceptional circumstances of the 'goal' were also thought to be taken into account.

“It is a shame that FA decided against an enquiry on this matter. Their failure to press charges against Jordan is effectively endorsing his comment about Bristol City cheating.”

“Thanks Blue for your comments. I am just a bit fed up of Rovers fans and Palace fans calling my club cheats. Digging up all kinds of crap history. I do not usually reply to it but somtimes enough is enough. Both sets of fans should put their efforts into supporting their own clubs instead of writing rubbish on here.”

“Kevan, a couple of points.
A) The rugby club insisted on the clause being inserted into the contract not Rovers. One of the few good things Dunford has done for the Club
B) It was you morons from South of the River that came up with the name "The Gas" some very dimwitted way of poking fun at us
C) and nothing you have said Kevan, City were well within their rights on Saturday and did what any other Club would have done in their position, the fact it was against a Neil Warnock side made it better and the fact I won over a grand on my accumulator bet cause of the late goal was the cherry on the top.
D) To you all you Palace fans who insist on commenting, Warnock and Jordan are complete twits (and I mean something a lot stronger)
I will now get off my soap box”

“1883 Should that really be 1996, thats when your team moved to Bristol, you used to be a Bristol team but you moved away. In 1998 Rovers done a secret deal with Bristol rugby club that if one of the clubs went bust you could buy the other teams half for £10.000, surprise Bristol rugby went bust just 2 months later and Rovers got a cheap home. Rovers knew that they were going bust and done them over. point being do not sit moralising over at the main club in Bristol when your club has been run by a bunch of ..........shame on you.
PS Please note that Iused the name Rovers and not "the Gas" as that's just a stupid name that means nothing.”

“1883 gas:
You are a clueless twonk, which, is exactly why you support that tin-pot shamble of a club that play on a half-baked rugby ground. I am amazed a twit of a Bristol Rovers fan feels he can comment on the incidents that occur during a Championship game when he has never bore live witness to that standard of footballing action. Have a good night in chasers 1883 gas. Twerp.”
