Leaders Pak Bristolians are back to winning ways after beating strugglers Almondsbury by five wickets in Division Two of the Bristol & District League.

Manwar Hussain took 3-51 as Almondsbury were restricted to 176-8 despite 78 not out from Ross Wakely.

In reply, Nadeem (51) and Tanzeer (76) led the batting as Bristolians finished on 177-5.

Second-placed Twyford House beat Portishead by six wickets thanks to former skipper Mark Fowler taking 7-42. Portishead made 159, with Chris Bridge top-scoring with 36, while Ross Sutton cracked 57 not out for House.

Third-placed Hampset clinched a 20-run win against strugglers Cleeve.

Hampset were 3-2 but were saved by their middle order, Peter Bagnell top-scoring with 42, and made 200. James Haswell took 5-60.

In reply, Cleeve's former captain Robert Hoffeldt hit 95 off 88 balls, but he was helpless as wickets kept tumbling.

Chew Magna are fourth after Dave Filer's 76 not out secured a six-wicket win against bottom side St Mary Redcliffe. Desai hit 72 for Reds.

Qasir's unbeaten 143, including 21 fours and three sixes, guided Bristol Asians to a five-wicket win against Failand and Portbury.

Failand made 243-7 thanks to Ed Humphreys (85) and George Fellowes (49), while Shabbir took 5-62. Irfan hit 51 before Qasir's ton..

In Division One, leaders Phoenix West Indies have extended their advantage after beating Bradley Stoke by six wickets while second-placed Hanham lost by five wickets to third-placed Long Ashton.

Alastair Wright (85 not out) and John-Lee Sullivan (55 not out) were unbeaten as Ashton replied to 171 with 173-5.

Mike Rowan hit 71 but couldn't prevent Old Down (200-7) losing by one wicket to Frampton Cotterell (201-9).

Bristol YMCA's mid-season slump continued as they lost by 35 runs against Bristol Pakistanis.

Coalpit Heath beat fellow strugglers Bristol Sri Lankans by 84 runs to ease their relegation fears.

Heath made 253-6, with Ryan Williams and Darren Wesson hitting 90 not out and 41 respectively.

Dave Hilton took 6-58 with Samantha top-scoring with 46 as the Sri Lankans were restricted to 169.

In Division Two, John Britton's 120 and Neil Millard's 6-23 were at the heart of St George/Roman Glass' 130-run victory against Gordano Valley. A Robson cracked 150 in Lodway's 90-run success against Patchway.

A Smith made 63 in Stothert & Pitt's 113-run victory against Blagdon. Guy Harlow scored 51 for Blagdon.

In Division Three, D Jones claimed 6-40 as Stoke Gifford beat Abbots Leigh by seven wickets.

University of Bristol Staff won by 129 runs against Old Elizabethans, with Peter Brealey (53) and Jon Allison (51 not out) both hitting half-centuries.

John Wood took 5-65 for Elizabethans but Jamie Harvie claimed 5-36 as Old E's were all out for 84.

A Payne hit 104 not out and R Smith took 5-42 in Twyford House's nine-wicket win against Portishead in 2nd XI Senior Division.

In Division One, A Sheldrake claimed 5-13 as Thornbury A were skittled for 27 before St Mary Redcliffe claimed a 10-wicket win. Shoaib hit 121 not out in Bristol Asians' five-wicket victory against Chipping Sodbury A.

In Division Two, G Williams (104 not out) and H Kitchen (6-56) inspired Old Down to a 103-run triumph against Frampton Cotterell.

Frenchay (109) won by 62 runs against Old Elizabethans, with J Baker taking 7-21.

Meanwhile, in A XI Division One, D Nicholas cracked 128 in Hampset's 291-7 before Coalpit Heath made 152-6 in reply.
