Paedophile rock star Gary Glitter banned from leaving Britain
A ban on paedophile rock star Gary Glitter leaving Britain has been extended for a further six months.
The convicted child sex abuser, real name Paul Gadd has been blocked from travelling to Europe by the courts after refusing rehabilitation.

The Metropolitan Police was granted a six-month foreign travel ban yesterday.
Glitter's previous ban was due to expire on March 22 and he had told police he intended to leave the UK once it was up.
In September last year, Glitter, 65, applied to the courts to travel to Spain and France for a two-week villa holiday.
His application was refused and a six-month foreign travel ban was imposed. Glitter was also offered rehabilitation but the former 1970s glam rock star has failed to take up the treatment, the court heard.
Addressing Judge Timothy Workman, Rajeev Shetty, for the Met Police, said: "In terms of rehabilitation, which is a matter you specifically addressed, he has not so far engaged with any particular authority or medical service."
The court heard Glitter told a detective last month that he had made travel arrangements but was "unwilling to discuss the matter any further".
Judge Workman said this time round it was a "more generic wish" from the star to travel abroad.
But he still agreed that Glitter posed a risk to children and issued a ban for Europe and Switzerland due to the "ease with which he could travel" between borders.
He also expressed a concern about travel to Asia, where Glitter served three years in prison for molesting two girls aged 10 and 11 in Vietnam.
Glitter was initially convicted of downloading child pornography at Bristol Crown Court in 1999 after staff repairing his computer at the Cribbs Causeway branch of PC World found a number of images of child sex abuse on his laptop. He had been living in Wedmore, near Cheddar, at the time.
He served two months of a four-month sentence in Bristol Prison before leaving the country.

“Why would anyone try and "Cure someone of being 'heterosexual'"? . . Doesn't that tell us a lot about this country's declining morels. . I am sure Ivan Pavlov could have enlightened many about human behaviour.”

“White Van Man - you need to propose that idea to government. Great plan!
As for the supposed "rehabilitation" -whatever!!! Paedophilia is the same as being straight or gay (in the sense that you can't help it, NOT that it is right or ok). My point is, you can't cure someone of being a hetero or homosexual so you aren't going to be able to cure a pervert. Castrate the excuse for a human!”

“Does anyone know whether this vile, evil individual is living in or near Bristol again? I'm 99.9% sure I saw him in The Galleries just before Christmas.”

“All this is from the government who reduced the legal age from 17 to 16 for having homosexual sex with young boys, so to protect certain adults from being prosecuted for having homosexual sex with 'Rent Boys'.”
