Owusu targets 10 wins for Cheltenham Town
Lloyd Owusu believes Cheltenham Town need to win 10 of their remaining 18 matches to avoid the drop this season.
The big striker scored his eighth and ninth goals of the campaign against Hereford United on Saturday, but it was not enough to prevent the Robins slipping to a potentially fatal 3-2 defeat at Whaddon Road.
Their inferior goal difference means that they are effectively nine points from safety.
But leading scorer Owusu, who has netted eight times for Cheltenham since arriving from Yeovil Town last August, says nobody is ready to throw in the towel.
"You always have a chance and who knows, if we can get 10 wins out of 18, that would take us to safety," he said.
"We are getting opportunities and scoring goals, but at the other end, nothing is going right for us. We have to keep plodding away, try to do our best and see how many points we can pick up."
