Oscar Pistorius 'shot girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in bathroom'
Oscar Pistorius shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp three times as she was in the bathroom at his home, according to prosecutors.
At a bail hearing in Pretoria prosecutors this morning suggested Pistorius - a double amputee - got up, put on his prosthesis, walked seven metres and fired his gun through the bathroom door.
The athlete shot four times and hit Steenkamp three times, prosecutor Gerrie Nel told the court.
He then broke down the bathroom door and carried the victim downstairs, he added.

Steenkamp, a 29-year-old South African model, was shot dead on Thursday.
The court today heard the model arrived at the home of her athlete boyfriend with the expectation of spending the night.
The defence told the court the killing was not murder. Earlier, prosecutors said they would press a charge of premeditated murder against the 26-year-old athlete.
Pistorius, who has denied murder, wept as he heard the account. He is reported to have broken down uncontrollably when his lawyer Barry Roux suggested he did not know it was Steenkamp behind the bathroom door.
The court appearance comes on the same day as Steenkamp's funeral in Port Elizabeth.
Tropika Island of Treasure, a reality television show featuring Steenkamp, was broadcast in South Africa on Saturday evening, prompting criticism.
The producer of the SABC show defended the decision to broadcast the programme and told the BBC the decision was taken after consulting the family.
