Hereford United chief Graham Turner will be expecting his players to rise to the occasion when they come face to face with relegation rivals Leyton Orient at Edgar Street.

Saturday's battle is the first of three in the next seven days which could decide the Bulls' future for next season.

After this crucial game, Hereford travel to Yeovil Town on Tuesday and then Crewe Alexandra four days later.

"The next three games are absolutely vital for us," said Turner.

"Points are important in every match but these three games in particular might just dictate the way the rest of the season will go.

"Our players must keep their nerve, and if we work hard and keep our concentration and stay organised then we have every chance of taking the three points from this match."

Standing in Hereford's way could be their former skipper Tamika Mkandawire, who scored Orient's winning goal against Hartlepool United last week.

Mkandawire was Hereford's player of the season when the Bulls regained their Football League status before he decided to move on to Orient.

"It's a massive game for us but back-to-back wins has given us the confidence to keep winning," said Mkandawire.

Hereford will be hoping striker Steve Guinan and Febian Brandy will be available to stop the Londoners in their tracks.

Guinan (groin) and Brandy (ankle) will face fitness checks before Hereford settle on their starting line-up.

Central defenders Karl Broadhurst and Dean Beckwith could also be recalled to the squad, having recovered from injuries picked up against Cheltenham Town a fortnight ago.

Orient will also have to check on the fitness of their leading marksman Adam Boyd, who has been carrying an ankle injury, but midfielder Stephen Purches is available after recovering from a thigh injury.

Hereford United have re-arranged their three League One matches which were postponed during the recent poor weather which swept the country.

Graham Turner's men will travel to Scunthorpe United on March 17, Carlisle United on March 24 and then entertain Brighton and Hove Albion at Edgar Street on April 7.

Hereford (from): Gulacsi, Rose, Diagouraga, Taylor, Brandy, Guinan, Williams, Gwynne, Jackson, Antwi, Hewson, Myrie-Williams, Broadhurst, Beckwith, Smith, Done, Johnson, D'Agastino, Viega.
