Barnsley boss Mark Robins is backing his side to bounce back from Tuesday's agonising injury-time defeat to high-flying Nottingham Forest.

French midfielder Guy Moussi's first Forest goal secured the points for Billy Davies' side with a minute left on the clock.

His late show brought an abrupt end to the three-match winning streak which had seen the Tykes move clear of the relegation zone.

"We've got to be big enough to bounce back from this defeat against Bristol City on Saturday – and we will do," said Robins.

"We've played some really good stuff this season, we've won some games and we're looking a little bit more solid, but there's still room for improvement.

"The games are coming thick and fast, but over a season you're going to get some setbacks like this.

"It's not going to go your way all the time, but it's a sickener."

Robins will be known to travelling fans of a certain age, having spent a short but successful spell on loan at Ashton Gate in 2003. Although his goals helped City reach the Football League Trophy final at Wembley and the League One play-offs and rendered him an immediate hit with supporters, there will be no room for sentiment.

Robins has presided over wins against Doncaster, Ipswich and West Brom since succeeding Simon Davey last month.

With the exception of defender Bobby Hassell, Robins is again able to select from a full complement for the visit of City.
