Olivia Sadler, running as a guest in the 1,500m at the Midland League Division I fixture at Rugby, broke her personal best for the second time in less than a week with a time of 4mins 53.3secs.

That carved four seconds off the time the 15-year-old ran at the BMC meeting in Newport the previous week. Also running as guests at Rugby, Anthony Mattis clocked 11.2secs and Alastair Abrams 11.5secs in the 100m

● Bristol & West's Harry Webb, representing Harrow in the British Men's League match at Cardiff, finished sixth in the 800m in a time of 1:56.65.

● Bitton Road Runners' Terry Welch set an over-60s club record of 3hrs 25mins 12secs in the Edinburgh marathon. Christine Jenkins (3:11. 19), Catherine Jones (4:17.53) and Ian Nash (5:01.10) all ran their first marathons, while Jacqui Perriman completed the course in 4.21.15.

● A British Milers' Club men's 3000m race has been added to the programme at the next Exeter Open meeting on Tuesday, June 30.

The race, scheduled for 8pm, will incorporate the inaugural 3000m championship of the recently reconstituted South West AA. There is a minimum qualifying time of 9:30 and entries should be made to Mike Down either via e-mail at: mike.down@blueyonder.co.uk or telephone: 0117 9733407.

● Simon Spedding was Hogweed Trotters' first finisher at the Westonbirt triathlon in 12th place (1hr 10mins 6secs), with Ron White top veteran over-50 (1:11.17).

Julie Boynes was the club's first woman (1:39.58), followed by Jenny McCallum, who completed her first triathlon at the age of 60 in 1:48.05.

● Competing in the Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon, Bitton Road Runners' Dave Bulley and Bill Graham finished 20th overall and first veterans' pair in the Category C group in a time of 11hrs 48mins 56secs.

● Hogweed Trotters' Andy May finished 15th (88:28) in the Dymock half marathon, with Vic Garner 37th (97:51). But Lee Pattison, competing in the Edinburgh marathon, found the high temperatures not to his liking and recorded his slowest ever time of 3:06.45.

● Yate & District AC's 15-year-old George Rumney won the inter boys' long jump at the Gloucestershire Schools' Championships with a leap of 5.62m. Clubmate Ellie Brodie was runner-up in the inter girls' 1,500m in 5:03.7.

● The Clevedon Midsummer 10K road race takes place next Tuesday (7.30pm).

The event also incorporates the Avon 10K Championships and entries will be taken on the night. For further details, see the race website at: www.clevedonac.co.uk.

● Bitton Road Runners' Wayne Ellis was ninth (37:59) in the Fairford 10k, while clubmate Nick Kane clocked 38:07 for 59th place in the Poole 10k.

● Bath runner Sarah Urwin-Mann, who lives in Emersons Green, Bristol, broke 37 minutes for the first time with a PB of 36:58 to finish runner-up in the Poole 10k road race. Bristol & West's Lisa Newing finished 120th overall and 10th woman in 40:11.

● Robyn Golding and Michael Johnson made it two wins out of two in the Towpath 10k series, organised by Great Western Runners. Golding clocked 38mins 20secs, 26 seconds slower than the time she recorded last month, while Johnson won in an impressive 31mins 37secs, 49 seconds quicker than last month.
