MEMBERS of the cast of Oliver! are asking for more volunteers to support Marie Curie Cancer Care's March fundraiser.

Neil Morrissey, who is playing Fagin on the Bristol Hippodrome stage, and Iain Fletcher, who is playing Bill Sikes, encouraged more people in Bristol to collect for the charity's biggest annual fundraiser, the Great Daffodil Appeal.

Marie Curie needs volunteer collectors to encourage people in the local community to wear a daffodil pin and give a donation during March. The money raised will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to local people with a terminal illness in their own home.

Marie Curie Cancer Care community fundraiser Natalie Taylor said: "We need more than 200 people from Bristol to help with our collections this March. Donating just one or two hours of your time to the appeal will allow Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes. We are extremely grateful to the cast of Oliver! for taking the time to helpl."
