Toolstation League high-fliers Oldland Abbotonians are appealing for more support.

The Abbots are fourth in the First Division table, pushing hard for promotion to the Premier as the league's third highest scorers with the second best goal difference.

However, their average home attendance is just 32 – the lowest in the first division.

Oldland play at Castle Road – behind the main post office in Oldland High Street – with first-team matches kicking off at 2.30pm. Admission is £4.50 for adults with concessions for children and OAPs.

Oldland's reserve team, led by Ian Milton, are still unbeaten in the Bristol Premier Combination, while the A and B teams in the District League are being used to blood youngsters from the promising youth set up.

In addition, the Sunday Under-18 side, who won the Bristol League at the first attempt last season, have moved to the Gloucester County Youth League this season and are unbeaten at the top of the table.

Oldland also run teams in every age group from Under-10s to Under-16s.
