More than 200 motocross riders of yesteryear will be at the Farleigh Castle circuit, near Trowbridge, tomorrow and Sunday for the Southern Twin Shock Sporting Club's nostalgic meeting.

The event includes names such as former world champions of the 1980s Neil Hudson, Dave Thorpe and Graham Noyce, plus regular race winners of that era Peter Mathia, Roger Garrett, Roy Wells, Martin Davis, Steve Adams and Barry Poolman.

There are also competitors from Holland, Italy, Belgium, Ireland and Germany competing for the Nations Cup.

Camping is available from this afternoon and there is live entertainment at the venue on Saturday evening.

The RT Keedwell Trophy is the main attraction in the North Somerset Club's timed and observation trial at Wick Lane, Pensford, on Sunday.

More than 50 regular award-winners are expected to take part including local ace Gary Hudson, Jason Hamblin, Jeremy and Tim Walters, Martin and Kerry Lawford and Paul Manning.

John May and George Davis continue their battle for the Remedies Bar backed Motocross Championship at Garlands Moor, near Hatherleigh, in Devon, on Sunday.

May has a lead of over 200 points on his Marshfield rival, but with more than 700 points still to play for, he is not home and dry just yet.

Davis can, in fact, be caught by Luke Blanchard, James Kensington and Josh Wyatt if he falters in any of the three remaining rounds.

There is bad news for grass racing fans this weekend – the Bristol Combine's meeting near Chippenham on Sunday is off owing to lack of rider support.
