BRISTOL Old Vic has announced its productions for autumn and winter.

The season kicks off with Kneehigh Theatre's The Red Shoes.

At Christmas, artistic director Tom Morris, Divine Comedy frontman Neil Hannon and playwright Helen Edmundson will be putting on a new musical version of Swallows and Amazons, and the Travelling Light theatre company and Bristol dance company Champloo are collaborating for Boing!, a show for young children.

The Old Vic will be working with Shakespeare at The Tobacco Factory to put on The Misanthrope in September and October.
