Old Sodbury take advantage of Shirehampton postponement to draw level with them at top of the table

Old Sodbury drew level on points with Shirehampton Reserves at the top of the Senior Division after coming from behind to win 3-2 at home to battling Hanham Reserves.

Michael Oakes shot the hosts in front and Richard Winter and Lee Andrews hit back for Hanham, who were sunk by second-half goals from Chris Randall and Bradley Leonard.

Shire were left without a game because St Pancras were unable to raise a team.

James McKay gave Hallen A the lead at Crosscourt, who hit back to win 4-2 through Martin Cole (3) and Rob Lucas. Ben Payne was the other Hallen scorer.

Lucas Hart, Lee Fisher and Tom Jenny all struck twice for Made For Ever, who boosted their bid for honours with a 7-1 home romp against Miners Rangers, with Kye Batt also on the mark.

Coalpit Heath won 2-0 at home to AXA Reserves thanks to goals in the last seven minutes from Matt Cole and Steve Bisp, with a fine solo effort, but strikes by Matt Sheedy and Nick Stacey could not save Roman Glass St George A from a 4-2 defeat by Wick Reserves.

In Division I, Rangeworthy continued their impressive start to the season by beating Bitton A 4-2 to remain top of the table. Goals from James Burke, Rob Nicholls, Micky Jefferies and Josh Duncan gave the home side the three points.

Last week's joint leaders Seymour United Reserves suffered a major setback to their title hopes with a 5-1 home defeat by Hambrook.

Two goals from Dan Young and strikes from George Woodward, Simon Wilcox and Sean Stevenson did the damage.

Longwell Green Sports A failed to capitalise on Seymour's demise as they were held 2-2 at Sea Mills Park. Chris Chidgey and James Humphries netted for Sports.

Two goals from Jim Sylvester sealed Talbot Knowle Reserves' 2-1 home victory against bottom-of-the-table South Bristol Central Reserves.

Chipping Sodbury Town Reserves won 3-0 at Bendix with goals from Steve Purnell (2) and Alex Fox, while Sean Godfrey netted twice for Pucklechurch Sports Reserves, 2-1 home winners against Hartcliffe Reserves.

Warmley Saints suffered their first defeat of the season in Division II, losing 4-1 to Iron Acton. Gareth Allen scored twice for Iron, one of them from the halfway line, while debutant Syd West and Harry Le Leiver were also on target.

AEK Boco continued their strong start to the season with a 5-0 away thumping of Fry's Club A.

Warmleys' defeat allowed Stockwood Wanderers the chance to close the gap, which they did with a 6-1 home win against Winterbourne United A. Gary Bricker hit a hat-trick, with Bradley Mead, Darren Porter and Lloyd Minton completing the rout.

An Andy Webb hat-trick helped Patchway Town A to a 4-2 home win over Eden Grove. Aidan Mitchell scored Town's other goal.

Mark Cozens (2) James Chidgey and Paul Fear fired Hanham Athletic A to a routine 4-0 home victory over bottom side Nicholas Wanderers A.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division III saw Chipping Sodbury A take over the lead with a 2-0 win at DRG Stapleton Reserves where Shaun Overton's two goals proved the difference.

Third-placedMendip United Reserves failed to take advantage of DRG's defeat, losing 2-1 at home to Tilly Rangers. Ben Thatcher netted for Mendip but two Richard Griffin goals gave Tilly the points.

Shirehampton A came back from being 2-0 down at half-time to defeat Bradley Stoke Town 4-2, their first win of the season.

Brothers Mike and Stuart Cook were both on the scoresheet as Shireway Sports won 5-1 a at Totterdown United Reserves.

Division IV joint leaders St George Rangers and Longwell Green Sports B both had good wins. Rangers won 3-0 at Made For Ever Reserves, while Sports recorded a 2-0 home victory over Henbury A.

Third-placed Southmead Community Sports beat bottom club Frampton Athletic Reserves 4-0, while Richard Bream and Steven Brock both hit hat-tricks for JDH Builders, 6-3 winners at Talbot Knowle A.

South Bristol Central A recorded their first win of the season in Division V, beating Greyfriars Athletic A 1-0.

Paul Waines struck a hat-trick for leaders Soundwell Victoria, who thumped Pucklechurch Sports A 6-0. Chris King (2) and Peter Hornby completed their tally.

Coalpit Heath Reserves were the leagues' biggest winners of the weekend, dismantling home side Bendix Reserves 13-0.

Stockwood Wanderers striker Ricky Brumpton celebrated his comeback after a lengthy absence because of a broken leg with a hat-trick for the reserves in the 5-0 Division VI home victory against Rangeworthy Reserves. Goals from Craig Symmonds and Wayne Baker completed the rout.

Real Thornbury slammed Seymour United 8-0 thanks to Joe Hulbert (2) Ross Griffin (2) Rowan Cartilege, Matt Vasey, Adam Hooper and an own goal.

Mark Abrahams hit a hat-trick was for Crosscourt United B, 8-0 winners at Oldland Abbotts B. The other goals came from Terran Clarke, Robbie Pring, Luke Hawker and Mark Sewell.
