Oh brother: Five-goal Adam is Bristol Phoenix's shooting star
Avon Youth League: The Rugman brothers hit top form over the weekend as they embarked on a siblings goals spree.
Adam fired five goals for Bristol Phoenix Under-13s in a 6-6 draw with Broad Plain Sports, while Daniel went one better, scoring six times in Avon Athletic Under-12s' 8-1 victory over Bradley Stoke United (see page 3).
Drew Baker netted Phoenix's other goal in a thrilling Division IV tussle with Broad Plain to put them 6-5 ahead before their opponents equalised right at the end.
Joe Osborne and Josh Rice both bagged braces as Keynsham Town A overcame Ashton Boys A 4-1 in Under-13 Division 1.
Visitors Keynsham started brightly, with Osborne scoring two early goals. After the break, great defending by Alex Murch and Jacob Millard kept Ashton at bay until Rice effectively killed them off by adding a third goal.
Rico Witter hit the crossbar for Ashton before Aaron McKenna Burnell pulled one back.
But any comeback aspirations they harboured were promptly ended as Rice's persistence was rewarded with his second of the game.
Will Harrison turned in a superb performance for Oldland Abbotonians in a 4-0 Under-13 Division II victory over a good Whitchurch Sports side.
The first half was a fairly scrappy affair, illuminated by Trevon Morne's superb 18-yard opener from Liam Noble's well-placed pass.
Morne was on target again to notch Oldland's second goal as he finished off a brilliant team move from six yards out following Will Harrison's mazy run down the right.
After the break, a well-delivered cross from Mitchell Tomlin was converted by the impressive Morne before Dan Price hit the goal of the game with a spectacular 30-yard volley.
Shire Colts B maintained their hopes of winning the Under-13 Division V crown by demolishing St Nicholas B 11-0.
The leaders never looked back after racking up three goals in the first 12 minutes through Dan Warren (2) and Harry Maggs. Futher goals from James Bojski, George West and Warren again, to complete his hat-trick, stretched their lead to 6-0 by half-time.
Shire continued to pile on the pressure. Benson Michalis helped himself to a hat-trick while Bojski and West both scored their second goals of the game to complete an impressive win.
Henbury Colts picked up six points from their Under-15 Division I double-header against St Nicholas A at Chipping Sodbury, thanks largely to an unexpected hat-trick by defender Tom Green.
Henbury were 3-0 winners in the first game but had to wait until the last 10 minutes to score as a fantastic performance from Saints keeper Robert Aldham kept them at bay.
He pulled off several quality saves before Luke Lockyer latched on to a through ball to open the scoring.
Further goals from Sam Fitzgerald and Sean Heal secured Henbury the points.
Aldham started off the second match in fine form, too, by denying Sam Fitzgerald twice in the first 10 minutes.
But as tiredness set in for Saints, Henbury scored four quick goals through Jamie Turner, Sean Heal, Luke Lockyer and CJ Wilson, before full-back Green responded to his switch into attack by rattling up a hat-trick, all of his goals coming from crosses by man-of-the-match Jack Mills as Henbury ran-out emphatic 7-0 victors.
In the same section, Bristol Rovers JSC turned in a top-class performance to beat a spirited Frampton Rangers side 7-0.
Frampton had Rovers on the back foot until they fell behind in the 12th minute when Matt Latt turned in a Dom Hough- Stewart corner. Hough-Stewart then set up Ben Cush to fire home from close range and, on the stroke of half-time, a cross from Billy Bond found Cush to send Rovers into the break 3-0 up.
Five minutes into the second half, Frampton lost their keeper, Jake Waterman, when he saved bravely at the feet of Bond and was taken to hospital with a dislocated finger.
It got worse for Rangers as Latt claimed his second with a fine individual effort before Hough-Stewart fired the final three goals.
