Oh boy! Avon make it a hat-trick of UK Sports Hall under-13 titles
AVON team manager Dave Turner paid tribute to the young athletes who clinched the UK Sports Hall under-13 boys' title at the NEC, in Birmingham, for the third successive year.
"It was a wonderful achievement for all involved with the county's Sports Hall athletics," said Turner. "It also equalled the UK record of three consecutive victories and it is now six for Avon since 1990."
The squad was led magnificently by Aaron Realizo (St.Bernadettes), who won gold in the two-lap, silver in the vertical jump and a gold in the 4x2 lap relay.
Taryn Selway Joseph (Priory) was third in the four-lap, while there was also bronze for Reece Trapani (Broadoak) in the six-lap race, just pipping Harvey Flower. They then joined forces to finish second in the eight-lap event.
