Staff at a printers in Portbury doubled as extras yesterday as their building became a film set for a new television advert.

Hampton Printing, based on Bradley Road, Royal Portbury, was overrun by the 40-strong film crew filming for national bank Natwest.

The crew arrived with a double-decker bus and burger van, taking out a car park at the site and filming action on the shop floor.

Chris Cooper, managing director of Hampton Printing, said: "We believe they are filming one of their forthcoming campaigns here. They are even filming some of the staff because they wanted action on the shop floor.

"It is a nice break from the doom and gloom affecting everyone at the moment."

Susan Turnbull, spokeswoman for Natwest, said: "We are currently filming the latest advert in the Helpful Banking campaign. It will be on television soon."
