Film star Rhys Ifans, who shot to fame as Spike in Notting Hill, is filming his latest movie in Bristol

Ifans is playing Howard Marks, an Oxford graduate and teacher who became a drug smuggler and ended up on Britain's list of most-wanted criminals.

Marks later became an informant for MI5, public speaker and latterly author of Mr Nice, from which the movie takes its name.

Marks himself is due be on the Old Vic stage on Tuesday, with the reaction of the audience being filmed for the movie, before Ifans plays Marks.
