Normal service is resumed as Bitton go top
BITTON Under-13s returned to the top of Division One, thanks to a dominant display and 2-0 victory over Hallen.
They attacked from the outset, penning Hallen inside their own half, and it wasn't long before they scored with Harry Saunders finding the back of the net following some excellent passing play.
With Hallen battling to stop the Bitton onslaught, Alex Begbie Dilks added a second goal, giving the keeper no chance as he converted a precision cross.
The second half began with Hallen on the attack, but the Bitton defence remained steadfast. With the ground resembling a rugby pitch the match became difficult for both sides, but Bitton continued to pressure their opponents relentlessly, without adding to their tally.

Warmley Rangers Colts Under-13s continued their impressive run in Division Four by beating Lawrence Weston Colts 5-0 at home to make it seven wins from seven games.
In windy conditions, their opponents defended resiliently and saved a penalty before Rangers broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Charlie Shail found himself unmarked in the box to score from close range via Morgan Coles' neat pass.
Five minutes later, striker Nathan Wilkes headed the first of his three goals after winger Zac Cheetham had picked him out with a superb cross, a minute later, Wilkes struck again to send his side into the break 3-0 to the good. Lawrence Weston defended strongly again in the second half as Rangers continued to attack, but 30 minutes in Wilkes completed his hat-trick, again from close range.
Longwell's keeper saved another penalty with a fine athletic save, but was unable to prevent Cheetham getting Warmley's final goal from close range after his shot deflected off a Longwell defender.
Stoke Lane Under-12s ran out worthy 5-2 Division One victors over Mangotsfield United .
After a scrappy opening, Stoke went ahead when a Liam Harvie corner bounced back off the post for Harry Cole to drive home from close in.
Mangos responded well and went close from successive corners before equalising through Sol Templar in somewhat freaky fashion as the ball spun out of a mid-air challenge and looped into the top corner of the goal.
All square at half-time, it was Mangos who came out for the restart quicker to catch Stoke napping and score through Cory Jackson with a deft lob.
Lane hit back with Alex Wells slotting the ball into the net from a Theo Cox through ball, and they got their noses in front when Matt Binding swept home after a great save by the keeper.
With pressure mounting on them, Mangos were finally undone as Binding notched again with another well-taken effort and Tyler Gaston lobbed the keeper for an opportunist goal as Stoke finished with a flourish.
In the same division, Keynsham Town Under-12s were unable to match the impressive athletes of top-table Thornbury Town, but they made the visitors work every inch of the way on a wet, but perfectly playable, pitch before tumbling to a 5-1 defeat.
The hosts got off to the worst possible start, going 2-0 down within the opening two minutes, but they fought straight back with Elliott Dugan hitting the inside of a post after being sent clear by Luke Banfield.
Banfield then shot narrowly wide before Miles Baker finished from distance on ten minutes to make it 2-1.
Dugan headed a corner over before Thornbury struck again just before half-time, and two more goals inside the final ten minutes sealed the win for them.
