When Joey meets Linda English, a naive chorus girl, he has stirrings of real feelings.

However, that does not stop him from romancing a wealthy, wilful, and lonely widow Vera Simpson, in order to convince her to finance his dream, Chez Joey, a nightclub of his own.

Hit numbers from the show include I Could Write a Book and Bothered, Bewitched and Bewildered.

Pal Joey takes to the stage of Tickenham Village Hall from May 1 to 5 at 7.45pm and tickets, priced at £10 to include a programme, are available from 01275 853060.
