The consistent Mike Nicholls clinched a comfortable 83-14-0 victory after changing tack in the Carps AC match fished on Brick Lake at the Bridgwater Sedges.

When the silverfish failed to show at peg 15, he swapped his caster hookbait for paste, his lakeside swim to open water and added 80lb of carp to an otherwise 3-14-0 catch of bits.

John Bradford won the silverfish category. The Avon Angling boss poled maggot and caster at seven metres centre and his 40-10-0 catch brought him his third win in five days with a total catch of 177-15-0.
