New position is very dangerous
SOME time ago the No 51 bus stop in Broadmead was moved from opposite Poundland to opposite Marks and Spencer. Now it is near a very busy corner with sets of traffic lights, used by double-decker buses with a change of drivers and opposite the Marks and Spencer goods yard. The driver of the 51 cannot see the queue and vice versa. Frustrated passengers have been known to step into the road in order to be seen – extremely dangerous. And the original bus stop is still there!
