A REVAMPED pharmacy has opened in Barton Hill.

The former Alliance Pharmacy on Beam Street has now become a Boots after a merger with the high street chemist chain.

The new-look store, based in the Wellspring Healthy Living Centre, is one of more than 700 changing its name across the country.

The old pharmacy has had a refit but the shop will offer the same healthcare and prescription service from the same team.

It will also have a range of beauty and lifestyle products.

The store will offer a dispensing service alongside contemporary private consultation areas.

Angela Brown, manager of the new-look store said: "Redfield will see the very best of community pharmacy in its new store.

"We've always been proud to provide a professional local pharmacy and dispensing service to our customers, close to where they need it.

" Now, we're delighted to be able to offer even better healthcare services and a fantastic new range of products."
