New boy Kuffour strikes to earn Bristol Rovers a point
JO Kuffour scored his first goal for Bristol Rovers to earn the visitors a point after they twice fought back from behind at Huish Park.
The Pirates hit the bar twice within a minute early in the game, Chris Lines volleying against the bar before Rickie Lambert did the same with a header from a corner.
But it was the Glovers who broke the deadlock in the sixth minute when Terry Skiverton was left unmarked from a corner and planted his header past Steve Phillips.
Rovers were denied again after 27 minutes when Darryl Duffy saw his attempt cleared off the line by Terrell Forbes.
But the Pirates levelled from the penalty spot after Skiverton handled in the 38th minute. Lambert duly fired home his eighth goal of the campaign from the spot.
Yeovil struck once more in first-half stoppage time when the ball was worked towards the edge of the box and Gary Downes ran in to score from 20-yards to put the Somerset club in front again.
But Rovers were back on level terms again after 62 minutes. Just two minutes after coming off the bench, the former Bounemouth marksman capitalised on a good run by Aaron Lescott to crash home a first-time shot from 20 yards.
Rovers tried to snatch a win late in the game, but Roberts did well to deny Disley and Lee Peltier got in an important block to prevent Kuffour's shot reaching goal.
