Nigel Ashton, leader of North Somerset Council, said: "We have been working closely with partners at Castlewood for some time and now having the police based here as well takes this close working relationship to another level.
"It extends the range of services available at Castlewood for local people, and also makes it easier for us to work together to build safer and stronger communities in North Somerset. It also makes financial and operational sense for both organisations."
The station will be open between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. It will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
People will also be able to access police services at the Town Hall in Weston-super-Mare from today, alongside council services.
Chief Supt Moss said: "It makes sense to provide one central location where people can access public services, whether they are reporting a crime, seeking police advice or wanting to talk to someone about housing benefits or council tax.
"We are looking forward to working more closely with our colleagues in the Town Hall to provide a better and more joined up service."
The police station in Weston will continue to house the neighbourhood, patrol and CID teams.
The opening hours for police services at the Town Hall in Walliscote Grove Road are: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 8pm; Saturday 8.30am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 7pm.
