A week of initiatives aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour and crime will take place in November.

Not in My Neighbourhood Week, a national scheme which encourages people to learn more about the work being done to tackle crime, will run from November 2 to 6 and is an opportunity for police and agencies to show the work they do to make communities safer.

Throughout the week officers and agencies across Avon and Somerset will run operations to tackle specific neighbourhood issues and encourage communities to help the police, and play their part in tackling crime.

As part of the week, officers across Bristol will carry out operations to crack down on anti-social behaviour and misuse of fireworks.

In South Gloucestershire, there will be a graffiti amnesty and abandoned vehicles will be removed for free. Keynsham Business Crime Reduction Partnership will be providing members with a supply of free bells for their customers to attach to their purses in a bid to stop thefts from open handbags.
