NAILSEA United moved up to second in the Premier Division with a 5-1 away win against fellow high-flyers Ashton & Backwell.

Nailsea are nine points behind leaders Berrow, who were 4-0 winners at Bishops Lydeard.

A 78th-minute equaliser by Rich Hewitt gave sixth-placed Shirehampton a 1-1 draw at home to Street Reserves, who are one place behind.

Nailsea Town are in eighth spot following a 2-1 away win against Weston St Johns.

Clevedon United boosted their hopes of staying up with a 3-2 home victory against Ilminster Town, thanks to goals from Tony Cook, Andy Woodland and Mark Harris. But bottom-of-the-table St George (EiG) lost 6-0 at Langford Rovers and fellow strugglers Stockwood Green went down 2-0 at Minehead.

In the First Division, Yatton increased their lead at the top to 13 points with a 3-1 success against Westfield, Fry Club remain in third place following a 3-2 win at Bishop Sutton Reserves.
