Mystery cyclist injured in Portway fall remains in critical condition
A cyclist who was seriously-injured after falling from his bike on the Portway remains in a critical condition.
The police is appealing for help in identifying the cyclist, who was taken to Frenchay Hospital following the incident yesterday morning.

The 6ft tall white man, who was not carrying any identification, is described as being of large build and in his late 40s to early 50s with receding hair. He has a tattoo of a dagger through a white rose on his left forearm.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a high visibility jacket, a blue Crane-type cycling jacket/jersey, black tracksuit bottoms and black training shoes. He had gloves, a hat, safety glasses and a loaf of bread and was riding a red Apollo CX10.

Police know that he went to the bakery on Shirehampton High Street before coming off his bike.
The incident happened on the inbound side of the Portway just under the Avonmouth Bridge.
Anyone with information about the cyclist should contact the road policing unit at Almondsbury on the force number 101.
