MUSIC and dance from around the world will be showcased at Bristol Zoo next month as it partners with world renowned music festival Womad for the second year running.

Womad at Bristol Zoo will be held on the evening of Saturday, June 30.

Visitors will enjoy two stages offering some of the best in world music, as well as children's workshops, stalls, and entertainment.

Revellers can also visit a host of different animal species, as some of the animal houses will be kept open late.

The headline act for the event has been confirmed as London-based ska and Cuban music group Ska Cubano, pictured.

Other performers include all-female vocal group The Boxettes; acoustic instrumental quartet Spiro; Jaipur Kawa Brass Band; choir-like trio, Perunika Trio; and contemporary African dance, drama and music from Ballet Nimba.

Advance tickets cost £20 (adult) and £5 (child) or £45 for a family ticket. Under-5s are free.
