MY late mum was born in 1917, one of a poor family.
I remember the silver line outside Lewis's leading up to Christmas.

When I was younger she always made sure she put money down and said with tears, she had 'Lord Mayor's Boots' when she was a girl.
It goes without saying it's included in the charities I support and I say thank goodness for the Lord Mayor's Appeal.
