Some roads in North Somerset are particulary icy following last night's snowfall.

"They have been gritted and will be gritted again but drivers are advised to avoid these roads for the time being and find alternative routes."

Pedestrians are also advised to take extreme care on pavements and footpaths as these are proving icy this morning and the council has not been able to grit them due to resources being focused on the road network overnight."
