A MOTHER twice punched her former neighbour in the face after bumping into her at a community centre in Southmead.

Bianca Hill, 31, admitted assault by beating on December 15 last year when she appeared before Bristol Magistrates' Court.

Peter Smith, prosecuting, said victim Tracy Boulton was at the Greenway Centre for a Christmas lunch and concert with two of her children when she was attacked by Hill – whom she was in an ongoing dispute with – at 3.30pm.

Mr Smith said Hill grabbed her right arm, barged her son out of the way before punching her twice in the face and once in the stomach.

He said Hill then called Ms Boulton names before warning her: "Your family has got more to come".

The court was told that Hill admitted the offence when she was arrested by police. She told officers she held a grudge against Ms Boulton over "historical allegations".

The mother, of Ennerdale Road, told police that she saw Ms Boulton walk in then "just lost it".

Magistrates ordered Hill to stay at home between 9pm and 7am for the next four weeks wearing an electronic tag as part of a community order. She was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation to Ms Boulton.
